About Me

I love to teach, to mentor students, to research, and to write. I strive for excellence in each. As a teacher, I forefront student voice/choice and value backward design and collaboration. As a mentor, my approach is holistic. As a researcher and writer, I am trained in historical criticism yet balance it with additional methodologies. I understand my career—as I do my life—to be an act of service to God and to others.
